Why I Read It: It's a fairy tale retelling with Arthurian legend!

Synopsis: Under the stars, in a secret world...
Rowena, the youngest of twelve sisters, loves to slip out of the castle at night and dance in a magical forest. Soon she convinces her sisters to join her. When Sir Ethan notices that his daughters' slippers look tattered every morning, he is certain they've been sneaking out. Review: I love fairy tale retellings! I loved this because it is based off one of my favorite fairy tales, "The Twelve Dancing Princesses" and it has some Arthurian legend. I love anything with King Arthur, Merlin, and the Knights of the Round Table so this book was a win- win situation for me. I want to read more takes on "The Twelve Dancing Princess" because there is something so enchanting about having your own secret world.

Happy New Year everyone! I am so sorry for not posting in such along time, but I promise you that I will be posting regularly from now on (baring that life doesn't get in the way too much). Emmaline sat on a snow covered log, watching the Winter Fey danced round and round the bonfire. Evana, the queen of Winter, sat on her icy throne next to Emmaline's log while talking to Lord Draven about some political things that made absolutely no sense to Emmaline. For as long as she could remember, Emmaline has always been kept near Evana no matter where in the ice palace.  The others called her "Evana's Little Pet."

Writing Wednesday | "Rolling Hills and Mighty Mountains"

This is something I wrote for a contest of some type for figment.com. I just love this one a lot because it's based off a vacation I took years ago. Hope you all enjoy! It started out as any vacation would. A long car drive down the highway watching other cars zoom by and making shapes out of the clouds. Sometimes I would sleep, but other times I would imagine being anywhere else than in the car. Grandpa would look at me in the rear view mirror from time to time as he drove, but I paid no special attention to his glances. Why should I? I didn't want to be stuck in the car as we headed to see some relatives I had never met in West Virginia. I was bored. There was nothing to do but stare out the window and even that got boring after a while. "What are you thinking about, Nicole?" Mom asked from behind me. I turned around in my seat to look at Mom. Hello fellow readers! I'm sorry if I haven't been posting as often, but I felt like I needed to get away from the blog for a while.
