Why I Read It: A big thanks to NetGalley and Full Fathom Five publishing for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Synopsis: Tara Jenkins and Justin Westcroft used to be childhood BFFs. Now in high school, Justin’s a popular, all-star athlete, and Tara spends her days admiring him from afar. But when Tara saves Justin from nearly drowning in a freak accident, he’s unable to get her out of his mind. In no time at all, Tara and Justin fall deeply in love. And even though it’s only high school, they seem destined for a Happily Ever After.

Until tragedy strikes—and this time, Justin’s not so lucky. Tara passes through her days as a shell of her former self: Justin’s dead, but she can still feel his presence, and she can’t seem to let him go.

But there’s a reason for that, and it’s not just grief: Justin is In Between, and he’s still holding on.

They say that when someone saves you, you’re tied to them for life. But what about in the afterlife?

Review: I simply adored this book. It showed that love truly transcends any limitations. Tara and Justin's love for each other was so strong that nothing could break it. I cried when a Justin's death caused Tara to almost have some sort of panic or post traumatic stress attack. But even when others were against them and they doubted themselves, their love kept them from falling apart. A truly moving love story by a truly amazing writer. Olivia Pierce has a great talent for emotional story telling and I would like to read more of her books in the future.

Writing Wednesday | Writing Propmt "Winter Solstice"

Happy New Year everyone! I am so sorry for not posting in such along time, but I promise you that I will be posting regularly from now on (baring that life doesn't get in the way too much). Today, I thought it would be best to do something a little different. I love writing prompts because you can always do something different with them all the time. This one is actually one of my favorite prompts because it is whimsical and I could expand it into a novel if I wanted. Without further ado, here is what I think of when I think of Winter Solstice. Emmaline sat on a snow covered log, watching the Winter Fey danced round and round the bonfire. Evana, the queen of Winter, sat on her icy throne next to Emmaline's log while talking to Lord Draven about some political things that made absolutely no sense to Emmaline. For as long as she could remember, Emmaline has always been kept near Evana no matter where in the ice palace.  The others called her "Evana's Little Pet."

Writing Wednesday | "Rolling Hills and Mighty Mountains"

This is something I wrote for a contest of some type for figment.com. I just love this one a lot because it's based off a vacation I took years ago. Hope you all enjoy! It started out as any vacation would. A long car drive down the highway watching other cars zoom by and making shapes out of the clouds. Sometimes I would sleep, but other times I would imagine being anywhere else than in the car. Grandpa would look at me in the rear view mirror from time to time as he drove, but I paid no special attention to his glances. Why should I? I didn't want to be stuck in the car as we headed to see some relatives I had never met in West Virginia. I was bored. There was nothing to do but stare out the window and even that got boring after a while. "What are you thinking about, Nicole?" Mom asked from behind me. I turned around in my seat to look at Mom. She was reading another Jane Austen novel while my sister was leaning against her shoulder, asleep. How my mo

Blog Update

Hello fellow readers! I'm sorry if I haven't been posting as often, but I felt like I needed to get away from the blog for a while. I'm writing this to let you know that I will not be posting for about a week or two. I'm doing this to customize the look of the blog. I feel like the look of it is too boring or not functional to what I want it to be. I'm not abandoning this blog, I'm just fixing it up. See you soon. Happy reading!
