This is something I wrote for a contest of some type for figment.com. I just love this one a lot because it's based off a vacation I took years ago. Hope you all enjoy! It started out as any vacation would. A long car drive down the highway watching other cars zoom by and making shapes out of the clouds. Sometimes I would sleep, but other times I would imagine being anywhere else than in the car. Grandpa would look at me in the rear view mirror from time to time as he drove, but I paid no special attention to his glances. Why should I? I didn't want to be stuck in the car as we headed to see some relatives I had never met in West Virginia. I was bored. Happy New Year everyone! I am so sorry for not posting in such along time, but I promise you that I will be posting regularly from now on (baring that life doesn't get in the way too much). Today, I thought it would be best to do something a little different. I love writing prompts because you can always do something different with them all the time. This one is actually one of my favorite prompts because it is whimsical and I could expand it into a novel if I wanted. Without further ado, here is what I think of when I think of Winter Solstice.
