Top 5 Non-YA Books

So, I'm going to do something totally different here. As you all know, I also have a Booktube channel on Youtube and I do book reviews and other stuff on there. I have also done some Top 5 Wednesday videos. I decided that I will start putting those videos on this blog as well. Today, my Top 5 Wednesday list is going to be on here instead of a video.  The goodreads group link: https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/118368-top-5-wednesday. So here goes.

5. Succubus Blues by Richelle Mead
235718

I read this because a friend recommended it to me. I only technically read YA books, so I wasn't all too comfortable reading this since there is a lot of mature content in here. I'm pretty sure that I might get back to this at a later date.

4. A Little Princess by Francis Hodgson Burnett
1253990

I love this book. I read this when I was like 12 and I completely fell in love with the story. Sara's strength throughout all the ordeals she has to face never wavered for even a moment, even when she is told that her father is dead and that she is poor. I have read this more times throughout the years than any other book I own.

3. The Emerald Atlas by John Stephens
8619814

I haven't particularly finished this book. What I have read of it is pretty good. I can't say much else about this book though.

2. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J. K. Rowling
6

This is the one Harry Potter book out of the entire series that I loved most of all. The Triwizard Tournament was by far my favorite parts of the book. This made me laugh so much at some of the things that happened in here, but made me cry towards the end.

1. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader by C.S. Lewis
444329

By far the better book out of the whole series, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is seriously my favorite non-YA book ever. The adventure throughout this book is better than the rest of the books. I really cannot put into words how much I love this book, so please go read it and find out for yourselves.

There is my Top 5 Non-YA books. Hope you guys engoyed this list as much as I do and let me know what your favorite non-YA books are.

Five Tips to Get Out of a Reading Slump

Hey fellow readers! So seeing as I've been in a bit of an off-and-on reading slump for the past couple of months, I decided that I'll give you a few tips to help you all get out of a slump when you find yourselves in one. Without further preamble, here are five tips to out of a reading slump. 1.  Do Something Else: Sometimes after a really good/emotional/powerful book, it's easy to fall into a reading slump. Doing something else- whether it be playing video games or watching t.v.- can be a worthwhile break from reading. A break from reading can sometimes help to reignite the passion to read. 2. Get a Change of Scenery: Reading in the same spot all the time can cause a reading slump. So go find a new spot to read! Be it in the kitchen, the living room, or outside. Reading in a different place can be very beneficial to keep from falling into a slump. 3. Find a New Genre to Read: When reading the same genre over and over again, it causes a reading slump due to reading th...

Delirium

Title: Delirium (Delirium #1) Author: Lauren Oliver Genre: Young Adult Dystopian Published: February 2012 Medium Read In: Paperback Pages: 441 Rating: 4 Why I Read It: I was curious to what all the good ratings were about.  Summary:  Ninety-five days, and then I'll be safe. I wonder whether the procedure will hurt. I want to get it over with. It's hard to be patient. It's hard not to be afraid while I'm still uncured, though so far the deliria hasn't touched me yet. Still, I worry. They say that in the old days, love drove people to madness. The deadliest of all deadly things: It kills you both when you have it and when you don't. Review: This book reminded me a lot like Matched  by Allie Condie, in which the government systems are slightly alike. The only difference is that love still exists in Matched  whereas it does not exist in this book. I found it difficult to relate to Lena in anyway until the end of the novel. Lena...
