Writing Wednesday | Poem: Circle

*Note: Sorry for the no posting on Friday and Monday. Those two days were really hectic.* This is the first poem I ever officially wrote. I wrote it years ago for my grandparents' wedding anniversary when I was about 8 or 9. This poem has a really special place in my heart because it was the first real writing piece that spaeked my love for writing. So without further ado, here is the poem! Circle We are a circle forever We live in a world together Where life is a beacon For us to follow unwavering Through day and night Never to be away And sweet nectar life is To hope we may have I know that life is always Full of darkness and light To any hope we yearn Love is a gift we need Since there is nothing better As a circle we hope For a better life We are a circle forever We live in a world together

Writing Wednesday | Poem: Fairy Child

I wrote this back when I was in my Junior year of high school for my creative writing class. This was actually on of my favorite pieces to write because of the style it's written in: sestina. I love this piece and I hope you do too. Fairy Child Like a lonely passing thought the girl felt the summer breeze that accompanied the night surrounded by the dark she sat in the garden watching the fairy blooms sway in the wind. Pretty blooms from her thought world of a fairy garden with her hair fluttering in the breeze outlined by the dark starry night She began walking into the night surrounded by the fragrant blooms dancing in the dark I wonder where I’ll go. she thought as the gentle breeze followed her from the garden Leaving behind the garden engulfed in the night followed by the breeze she smelled of exotic blooms to those who thought she was a creature of the dark The girl continued in the dark passing many a garden
