Life Update + Blog Plans

Hello fellow readers! Sorry for not updating in a while. Life has been pretty busy and I haven't had time to just sit and post reviews and what not. I've also been in a really bad place mentally for the last few months and I didn't feel like blogging about anything. I've been in the biggest reading slump because of it. Thankfully, I am now feeling much better and will be posting on here again.

Starting Wednesday, October 5th, I will be posting a review. The review will be the first post of mine that will go back to the schedule of posting every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I will also now be posting not only reviews, but also monthly wrap-ups, book hauls, my own original writings (that will be only on Wednesdays after the 5th), and any unboxings that I do. Some of the posts will be linked with anything that I put on my YouTube channel, but most will not. If at any time I am unable to post on schedule, I will let you know the reason for not posting.

Thank you all for continuing to view my blog even though there hasn't been any new content in months. So I hope you all understand the long hiatus and that you are excited for all the upcoming posts that I have been planning for months. See you soon.

 Sincerely,
   Natalie

Five Tips to Get Out of a Reading Slump

Hey fellow readers! So seeing as I've been in a bit of an off-and-on reading slump for the past couple of months, I decided that I'll give you a few tips to help you all get out of a slump when you find yourselves in one. Without further preamble, here are five tips to out of a reading slump. 1.  Do Something Else: Sometimes after a really good/emotional/powerful book, it's easy to fall into a reading slump. Doing something else- whether it be playing video games or watching t.v.- can be a worthwhile break from reading. A break from reading can sometimes help to reignite the passion to read. 2. Get a Change of Scenery: Reading in the same spot all the time can cause a reading slump. So go find a new spot to read! Be it in the kitchen, the living room, or outside. Reading in a different place can be very beneficial to keep from falling into a slump. 3. Find a New Genre to Read: When reading the same genre over and over again, it causes a reading slump due to reading th...

Delirium

Title: Delirium (Delirium #1) Author: Lauren Oliver Genre: Young Adult Dystopian Published: February 2012 Medium Read In: Paperback Pages: 441 Rating: 4 Why I Read It: I was curious to what all the good ratings were about.  Summary:  Ninety-five days, and then I'll be safe. I wonder whether the procedure will hurt. I want to get it over with. It's hard to be patient. It's hard not to be afraid while I'm still uncured, though so far the deliria hasn't touched me yet. Still, I worry. They say that in the old days, love drove people to madness. The deadliest of all deadly things: It kills you both when you have it and when you don't. Review: This book reminded me a lot like Matched  by Allie Condie, in which the government systems are slightly alike. The only difference is that love still exists in Matched  whereas it does not exist in this book. I found it difficult to relate to Lena in anyway until the end of the novel. Lena...
