T5W- Favorite Couples

Hey, guys! It's Natalie here with another Top 5 Wednesday. Today's topic is favorite couples and I have been waiting for this topic since forever. I have a lot of favorite couples so it was sincerely difficult to narrow it down to five. So without further ado, let's get down to business.

5. Elizabeth and Darcy, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

I love the fact that these two at first did not want anything to do with each other. The way Darcy acts towards Elizabeth in the beginning is proof of his aristocratic upbringing. Elizabeth tries to see the good in him, but ends up exasperated by his constant sense of superiority. After a while they both see that they are not different in any way and that they truly love each other. I didn't like the round-about way that Jane Austen wrote the relationship between Elizabeth and Darcy, but it did show some clear dynamic to their lives.

4. Katniss and Peeta, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
2767052
I loved their slow budding romance, but I hated that Katniss tried to deny it up until the third book. I mean she risked her life trying to save him and she just kept putting it off as a thank you for something that happened years ago. Really?! She just couldn't admit that she really did love him and save herself all the trouble of the "Gale or Peeta?" drama. I love Katniss as a character, but she has a terrible way of thinking things through.

3. Jessica and Lucius, Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side by Beth Fantaskey
3389671
Jessica and Lucius is such a great couple. They went through their ups and downs in the beginning, but they were able to get through it. Jessica tried so hard to deny her attraction to Lucius, but realized it was a futile effort. They are amazing together and are one of the best couples that I've ever had the pleasure of reading about.

2. Katy and Daemon, Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout
12578077
Jennifer has a way of writing great romances between likable girls and swoon-worthy guys. This couple is no exception. Katy and Daemon are perfect for each other in so many ways. They both are able to handle what ever jives or insults the other throws their way. Even when Daemon tried to push Katy away, it was undeniable that he liked her a lot to care about her safety. I truly love this couple and all their crazy antics.

Are you ready to see which couple is my top favorite? Last, but certainly not least ...

1. Kelsey and Ren, Tiger's Curse by Colleen Houck
9284655
This couple is a match made in heaven. Kelsey and Ren are so beautiful together that sometimes I question Kelsey's choice to even consider Ren's brother, Kishan as an option. These two have been on one crazy, fast-paced journey since they met and it's only fitting that they are together.

Well, there you have it folks. This is only a fraction of my favorite couples, but I hope you like my list. Let me know in the comments your top 5 favorite couples or if you agree with my choices. I hope you guys have a great day and see you next time with a new post. Bye!

Writing Wednesday | "Rolling Hills and Mighty Mountains"

This is something I wrote for a contest of some type for figment.com. I just love this one a lot because it's based off a vacation I took years ago. Hope you all enjoy! It started out as any vacation would. A long car drive down the highway watching other cars zoom by and making shapes out of the clouds. Sometimes I would sleep, but other times I would imagine being anywhere else than in the car. Grandpa would look at me in the rear view mirror from time to time as he drove, but I paid no special attention to his glances. Why should I? I didn't want to be stuck in the car as we headed to see some relatives I had never met in West Virginia. I was bored. There was nothing to do but stare out the window and even that got boring after a while. "What are you thinking about, Nicole?" Mom asked from behind me. I turned around in my seat to look at Mom. She was reading another Jane Austen novel while my sister was leaning against her shoulder, asleep. How my mo...
