Fathomless

Title: Fathomless Author: Jackson Pearce  Genre: Young Adult Fantasy  Published: September 2012 ( first in January 2012) Medium Read In: Hardcover Pages: 294 Rating: 3.5 Why I Read It: I absolutely love fairy tale retellings so much! Enough said.  Summary:  Celia Reynolds is the youngest in a set of triplets and the one with the least valuable power. Anne can see the future, and Jane can see the present, but all Celia can see is the past. And the past seems so insignificant -- until Celia meets Lo. Lo doesn't know who she is. Or who she was. Once a human, she is now almost entirely a creature of the sea -- a nymph, an ocean girl, a mermaid -- all terms too pretty for the soulless monster she knows she's becoming. Lo clings to shreds of her former self, fighting to remember her past, even as she's tempted to embrace her dark immortality. When a handsome boy named Jude falls off a pier and into the ocean, Celia and Lo work together to rescu...

At sixteen, she is beautiful and strong, and all the young wolves are on her tail. But Vivian still grieves for her dead father; her pack remains leaderless and in disarray, and she feels lost in the suburbs of Maryland. She longs for a normal life. But what is normal for a werewolf? Then Vivian falls in love with a human, a meat-boy. Aiden is kind and gentle, a welcome relief from the squabbling pack. T5W- Top 5 Female Characters

Hello fellow readers! So today is another Top 5 Wednesday topic as put in the title of this post: Top 5 Female Characters. I will include the Goodreads group link here: https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/118368-top-5-wednesday. I absolutely love this topic since I have a lot of female characters that I truly admire throughout stand-alones or series. So let's get onto the list. 5. Allyson "Lu-Lu" Healey from Just One Day  by Gayle Forman Allyson's journey to discover who exactly she is after the whole Willem incident was understandable, but I found her character to be really weak from the beginning. She wasn't able to get past what happened to her to the point her grades suffered and her personal relationships with her friend and family were strained. If she had been able to pick herself up after the whole thing before she took that Shakespeare class then I probably would have liked her more. 4.    Tally from the Uglies series   by Scott Westerfeld T...
